Publication Ethics and Publication Malpractice Statement
The Erdélyi Múzeum’s Publication Ethics and Publication Malpractice Statement is based on the standards developed by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
We expect all parties to commit to these publication ethics. We do not tolerate plagiarism or other unethical behavior and will remove any manuscript that does not meet these standards.
The duties and expectations of editors, reviewers and authors:
Editorial Board Responsibilities
The Editorial Board evaluates the manuscripts for their intellectual content.
The Editorial Board keeps information on the submitted manuscripts confidential.
The Editorial Board discloses any conflicts of interest.
The Editorial Board is responsible for making publication decisions on the manuscripts.
Author Responsibilities
The Author certifies that his manuscript is an original work.
The Author notifies the Editorial Board of any conflicts of interest.
The Author identifies all sources used in the creation of his manuscript.
The Author certifies that the manuscript has not previously been published elsewhere.
The Author certifies that the manuscript is not currently being considered for publication in other Journals.
Reviewer Responsibilities
The Reviewer must bring to the attention of the Editors any information that may be reason to reject the publication of a manuscript.
The Reviewer notifies the Editorial Board of any conflicts of interest.
The Reviewer keeps information pertaining to the manuscript confidential.
The Reviewer evaluates the manuscripts for their intellectual content without regard to gender, race, religious belief, sexual orientation, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors.
The Reviewer who feels unqualified to review the manuscript or knows that his prompt review will be impossible should notify the Editorial Board.
